Future Skills Community Event

A three-day community event will be held to showcase the major achievements of VTC students and promote Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET) and skills to the public. The event will cover a wide range of activities, including thematic showcases and exhibition booths, skills demonstrations, try-a-skill activities, industry sharing and fashion shows sessions to engage partners and participants from industries, schools, alumni, staff, students and parents and arouse public’s interest in VPET.

VPET Lane

Comprising three thematic zones namely VPET Journey, VPET Excellence and VPET in Action, the VPET Lane illustrates the transformation of vocational and professional education and training (VPET) over the decades, features stories and achievements of VPET taletns, and showcases the interactive learning experience and vibrant student life at VTC. Solar-powered car SOPHIE developed by VTC teachers and students and award-winning designs by VTC students at Red Dot Design Award will also be exhibited on the occasion.

WorldSkills Hong Kong Showcase

WorldSkills Competition is hailed as the “Skills Olympics”. Hong Kong first participated in this international skills event in 1997. In this special year marking the 25th anniversary, WorldSkills Hong Kong will showcase the achievements of young skilled talents over these 25 years. Stories of former competitors would be shared. Competition uniform, relevant tools/equipment, as well as work produced in competition training would be exhibited.
